Welcome to Whisker Warriors Spain

Second chances for Spanish street cats

Whisker Warriors is a volunteer group operating out of the Los Infiernos pound in Murcia, committed to caring for, and rehoming stray and abandoned cats and kittens. Every day, we work to protect vulnerable cats from the streets of Spain, giving them the safety, medical care, and love they need to thrive.

A message from our founder

There is no denying that volunteering in animal rescue isn’t hard. But let me tell you, it is so incredibly rewarding. Having been at the pound for over 6 years, I have seen it all, and animal cruelty shows no bounds, but we do what we do because without us, the cats have nothing.  We have to fight for them as they can’t fight for themselves. There are many ways in which you can help Whisker Warriors, and any help received is valued, appreciated and rewarding. Volunteering is without doubt one of the best things I have ever done.

Hannah – Whisker Warriors Founder

Caring for homeless cats is only possible with the help of our community. We rely on the kindness of adopters, foster families, volunteers, and supporters to give these cats a second chance. Whether you choose to adopt, foster, donate, or share our cats in need, your support helps save lives and creates brighter futures for cats who have known hardship.

By supporting Whisker Warriors in Murcia, you become part of a network dedicated to compassion, protection, and hope. Together, we can help more cats and kittens leave the streets of Murcia behind and find the safe, loving homes they deserve.

Whisker Warriors are a group of volunteers who operate out of the local pound and therefore do not have premises ourselves, due to this we are bound by the rules and regulations that come with that premises and the owners. Our aim is to help as much as possible but there are limitations to what we can and cannot do. We hope that through continued support and understanding we can continue to do what we do.

We work closely with...

Bad Cat Cafe, Newcastle

Based in North Tyneside, the Bad Cat Café works in partnership with Whisker Warriors to rescue vulnerable cats from Murcia and give them a second chance at life in the UK. All of the cats are rescues, carefully rehabilitated and cared for before being responsibly rehomed. Through the café setting, visitors can meet the cats in a calm, supportive environment, helping raise awareness, fund rescue efforts, and find loving forever homes for cats in need.

ASAP Asociacion de Ayuda a Protectora

We work closely with the ASAP Charity Shop in Pilar de la Horadada, run by Pat—a lovely lady who dedicates her time to raising funds for local animal charities and rescue groups. The shop relies on donations of items such as clothing and kitchenware, which are sold to support these causes. If you’re able to donate, simply drop your items off at the shop and mention they’re on behalf of Whisker Warriors. This helps increase the amount Pat is able to donate to us throughout the year.
